Hello friends! I am soooo late to this party, but let’s get to it shall we?

First off, I have two sets of questions to answer from the lovely DSLady. I’m not ignoring you, I promise! It just took me a while to get around to it!

Sunshine Blogger Award Questions:

1. How tall are you?

I’m 5’2”. Yeah, I’m a shorty :/

2. Are you a morning person?

Definitely! My biological clock won’t let me sleep past six most days, but I’m usually wide awake by then anyways ^.^

3. If you could dye your hair any colour, which would you go? If none, why not?

I used to want to dye my hair crazy colors when I was in my goth/scene phase in middle school. Purple, teal, bright red, even just black. But I’m sorta glad I never did. My hair’s thin anyways, no need to make it worse.

4. Sunrise or Sunset?

I like both! And I live smack-dab in the center of the US so we get really pretty ones. I guess I’d say sunrise, since I’m a morning person, but I’m usually awake to see both.

5. Are you in the Minion hateclub or fanclub?

I guess I’m in the neutral club? I loved Despicable Me when I first saw it, but I always thought the minions were meh. I think it’s rather annoying that they’ve become the breakaway stars and are on everything, but I wouldn’t say I hate them.

6. What’s your Hogwarts house and why?

Ravenclaw! The house of wisdom, creativity, individuality, and acceptance, I’ve known I was a Ravenclaw ever since we were introduced to Luna Lovegood. I’ve been sorted into Slytherin before too and as much as I love the ol’ green and grey, my heart will always belong wrapped in blue.

7. Are you good at public speaking?

Apparently? At least, everyone tells me I am. It gives me anxieties and I pretty much block out the whole experience whenever I have to do it, but people always tell me afterwards that I was really good and I should consider a career in news reporting.

8. Tell us about your favourite book.

But I have so many!!! One of my all-time favorites has always been The Last Days of Summer by Steve Kluger. It’s about a twelve-year-old boy growing up in 1940’s Brooklyn, Joey Margolis, who obsesses over rookie baseball player Charlie Banks. After annoying the athlete with letters begging for a home run hit in his honor (because the bullies at school just so happen to think they’re best friends), the two start to develop a strong, almost brotherly relationship. The story is told entirely through letters, newspaper articles, and other various documents. It’s a real treat if it sounds up your alley.

9. Favourite pizza topping?

I’ve always been a just cheese type of person. The more cheese, the merrier. And stuffed crust is always a plus.

10. Is your life anything like it was two years ago?

I mean, I’m in uni instead of high school and I have one less cat now. Other than that, it’s pretty much the same.

11. What is your favourite season?

Autumn! I love fall colors, I love the cool-but-not-too-cold weather, I love the general calmness of everything, I love Thanksgiving food. And my birthday month falls during this time, meaning we’re at Disney a lot of years, so that probably helps a little…

Liebster Award Questions:

1. How often do you listen to music?

Almost constantly. I can’t listen to music when I’m studying or I get distracted by the lyrics or the melody, but otherwise I’m usually listening to something.

2. What kind of music you like? Share a song if you want!

Pretty much anything that falls within the rock persuasion. Classic, pop, indie, alternative, punk, grunge, metal, screamo. Depends on what mood I’m in. My favorite is definitely indie though.

3. Do you have/want tattoos? Describe them!

I like tats on other people. I actually find them pretty hot on guys XD But I don’t think there’s anything that I would ever want permanently etched into my skin. I’d probably hate it after a year.

4. Have you read/watched LOTR? Do you like it or think it’s too long and boring?

Does anyone think it’s boring? I guess some people would. Even my mom likes the movies though, and she usually hates typical nerdy stuff. It’s one of those series’ that I think I like the movies just as much as the books, but that’s likely because the movies came out when I was a kid so I grew up with them, and I didn’t start reading the books until middle school.

5. Thoughts on children?

They’re okay I guess…? I definitely don’t want any though. I must have missed out on that whole maternal instinct thing during puberty, because whenever I see kids I just think “disgusting” and “germy” and “bratty” and other generally unpleasant thoughts.

6. Do you like where you’re from?

I do! I love my country, I love my state, and I especially love my city! We’re one of those towns that’s kinda big comparatively to others in the area, but we’re not NYC or LA or anything like that. We’d probably be a bigger state’s small town. And we have a lot of pride in our little burg! But I don’t think I’m going to live here forever. I honestly like big city life, and there’s not really any career options for me here.

7. Favourite expansion pack?

I’d probably say Supernatural. I love Moonlight Falls and its townies, I love the different lifestates, and I love all the gothic design options for clothes and furniture, even if I don’t use them much.

8. What’s your favourite series? (books, tv show, or movies?)

It’s so hard to choose! But lately I’ve been super into the Batfam. Any books I can get my hands on that deal with any of my Bats and Birds, I’ll read (especially if it’s about Jaybird!). I’ve also been super into TOS. I’ve always been kind of a Trekkie (Trekker is a stupid, pretentious term made up by fans who don’t want to admit they’re mega nerds fight me) but lately I’ve been super, hard core into it. I can only blame Beyond for triggering my interest again.

9. What’s your favourite game? (Other than sims!)

Again with the difficult questions…the obvious choice here would be Pokemon considering my legacy. But I’m gonna go with the Nancy Drew PC series. I played my first game, FIN, with my grandpa when I was five and we’ve been playing and replaying the whole series together ever since. So sad that HER is dead at this point and MID is likely never coming out.

10. What’s your favourite thing to do on lazy days where you have 0 obligations?

Read, play video games, or binge watch TV shows/anime. So original, I know.

11. What is your current desktop picture?

Purple Monorail

And now for the Memory Lane Challenge, created by gryffindork!

Memory Lane Challenge

I was nominated for this challenge by gryffindork and heatherfeather19. Thanks guys!

Congratulations! You’ve been nominated for a totally legit award. Get a gold star and stick it on your forehead like a boss.
2. Share FIVE of your favourite moments from your legacy/challenge/story so far.
3. Nominate 3-5 to do the same.

1. Betty Simovitch: Most Likely to be Late to Own Wedding

Not only was this the wedding of my founders, but Betty was late for it! She and her parents showed up together, but then she left for graduation. She came back so late that Absol got the “left at the alter” moodlet.

2. The Demon Twins

Not only were these twins unexpected and we really weren’t financially prepared for them, they also had the creepy/evil twin thing down pat. They were always together, and always seemed to be plotting the demise of their siblings (even though Steelix was secretly a cinnamon roll and had great relationships with everyone). Pewter gen in general is still honestly my favorite group of kids, with Vermilion a close second.

3. Bored (Ranting) to Death

Not exactly a good favorite, but the death of my Cerulean co-heir was pretty memorable. He was the first accidental death in the legacy, and it honestly looked like he killed himself to get away from the trauma of his wife and father flirting. Sometimes I wonder how the legacy would’ve gone if I’d taken the damn megaphone away from him after the first time.

4. Chess or Die

Killing people with our chess table of doom. Not much else to say…

5. Dragon Age

Goodra, my first dragon. After a few Sim days of my egg not hatching, I was really happy that we finally got ourselves a new pet!

Man, this challenge has made me realize how significantly less crazy this legacy is compared to everyone else’s, and even compared to others that I’ve done. C’mon Kantos, throw me a bone sometime in the next few generations!

A lot of people that I follow have already been nominated since I’m getting to it so late, so I’ll make this easy on myself. If you’re reading this and you haven’t done this challenge yet, I nominate you! Tag, you’re it! Get to it faster than I did! Chop chop! Thanks for reading and as always, happy Simming!

And Now For Something Completely Different…A Liebster Award

Way to kick off the summer with a bang! The Liebster Award is once more being passed around and it’s made it’s way over to this humble legacy.

Liebster Award

Thanks so much to fluffymao of The Mayfields for nominating me for this award! She is an amazing writer who managed so suck me into her world of Sims storytelling when I’m usually more a fan of commentary-style blogs.

Da Rules

I think we’re all familiar with the process of these awards by now, but I’ll go through it just in case you’re new to all of this tomfoolery.

The Liebster Award is a way to recognize and appreciate fellow bloggers whom you believe deserve some love and attention. This process does come with a few simple rules.

  1. Thank the person who nominated you
  2. Answer the 11 questions the person asked you
  3. Nominate other bloggers
  4. Ask your nominees 11 questions of your own (Why 11? Because we like to go one step beyond.)

Questions from Fluffymao

  1. What’s your favorite beverage?
  2. Do you write characters that share your viewpoints or clash?  In-between?
    • In-between, probably. It depends on the characters I’m writing and the stories they belong to. I definitely don’t always agree with my protagonists, and I can sometimes see where my villains are coming from. Different stories call for different viewpoints to be expressed, no matter if they align with yours or clash.
  3. One word: ALIENS!  What do you think?
    • I wouldn’t say that I’m 100% a believer, but I don’t see any reason not to believe that there might be life on other planets. Now, I certainly don’t believe the stories that people get abducted from their farms at night and are now heavy with extraterrestrial progeny, but who knows what’s out there in other galaxies? I’m holding out hope that Starfleet will be founded in the next century as scheduled and I’ll get to watch on as our descendants explore strange new worlds and discover new life and new civilizations!
  4. To you, what is the best sounding word?  What about the worst?
    • One of my favorite words has always been “shenanigans.” A lot of people would vote “moist” as the grossest sounding word, but it’s never bothered me much. Instead, I’d like to nominate any modern slang terms. I sometimes use these ironically, but when people say them with a straight face (looking at you, sorority sisters…) I cringe every time.
  5. Put your rebel cap on.  What’s the worst thing you’ve done that you’ve gotten a thrill out of?
    • Confession time. I am a walking contradiction. On the one hand, I’m a thrill seeker and there’ve been plenty of situations where I’ve wanted to do something “bad” to see what would happen. On the other hand, I have severe anxiety problems, guilt anxiety being one of the major issues. I can’t physically bring myself to do bad things for fear of getting into trouble. Because of this, the worst thing I’ve ever done is let myself skip class one day a semester when I’m feeling sick without my parents knowing. And I feel super badly whenever I do.
  6. You’ve had your fun, but now the psychic police are coming!  What do you do?!
    • I’m a pretty unassuming person, so if I just stood in a corner in a crowd of people, they’d never actually find me.
  7. Do you know your personality type?  If so, care to share?
    • My Myers-Briggs type is INFJ. As a psych nerd, I could tell you my NEO and MIPS results as well, but that’d take way longer to explain than just stating some letters XD
  8. Blue. Red. Green.  What’s the first thing you think of?
    • Red, Blue, and Green
    • …Sorry, not sorry.
  9. What was/is your most hated school subject?  Why?
    • Honestly, I’ve mostly liked school. There were a few specific classes I haven’t liked, but that’s mostly due to the professor. I guess I’d say that I’m not really a fan of sociology, since they always seem bent on discrediting biology and psychology in favor of their ideologies.
  10. You’ve got to leave to someplace faraway for some reason or another.  You’ve got 10 minutes to pack one bag.  What do you take?
    • Lots of people would probably pick something sentimental to bring with them, a family heirloom or a gift from their boyfriend or a favorite childhood toy. I’m not a very sentimental person though, and I’m assuming that I’m coming back at some point. For the sake of practicality, I’d probably take a few pairs of clothes and a pair of pajamas, some books to keep me occupied, some money, and my laptop if I have enough room. Sorry guys! I wish I had a more interesting answer for you.
  11. You’re about to die and need to pass on some grain of knowledge for future generations.  What do you say?
    • Stand up for what you believe in, even when everyone else is telling you that you’re wrong. Fight to protect your rights and your freedoms. Defend free speech with all your might. Advocate for diversity of thought, not just diversity of appearance. You are the future. You can make things better for the next generation, if only you have the courage to try.

Versatile Blogger Award

Hey guys, long time no see! I bring exciting news. AWARDS!

Thanks so much to Jenn of the Tart ISBI  for nominating me for this award! It’s taken me over a week to respond to the nomination, but I’m finally getting around to it!

The rules:

1. Thank the person who nominated you
2. Share the award on your blog
3. Share seven random facts about yourself
4. Tag 10 bloggers with less than 1000 followers and let them know they have been nominated

Seven Facts:

I’m not the most interesting person, and part of what was taking me so long to respond was figuring out what I was going to share. I’ve decided that instead of “facts,” I’m going to give seven of my fandom associations.

  1. Ravenclaw and Horned Serpent

My Hogwarts house has always been Ravenclaw. Despite often being portrayed as the Spocks of the Wizarding World, the only traits you need to be in Ravenclaw are creativity, uniqueness, curiosity, and open-mindedness. You don’t need to be an emotionless, logical robot. It’s absolutely perfect for me! Most people I know consider themselves either Gryffindor or Slytherin, so I show a lot of Ravenclaw (and Hufflepuff, cause they need lots of love too!) pride.

As for my Ilvermorny house, when I first got sorted, I was placed into Thunderbird, but I didn’t really think it suited me very well. After careful consideration, and another placement test, I found my house in Horned Serpent!

2. Water Tribe

Although I tend to have the personality of an airbender, I would most definitely belong to the water tribe. Water has been the element I most closely associate with since I was a little kid watching Avatar for the first time. Maybe I’m one of the children of Aang and Katara!

3. Daughter of Athena

As I said before, I most closely associate with water, so I always thought I’d be a daughter of Poseidon reading through the Percy Jackson books. But I’ve been placed, through several different tests, into the Cabin of Athena. And I’m happy with it. Athena is the goddess of wisdom and warfare, among other things. She’s honestly one of the coolest of the Olympian gods, and it’s an honor to be among her children ^.^

4. Rebel Alliance

Star Wars is one of my dad’s favorite things, and he made sure that it became one of mine as I grew up too! People are always arguing over whether they’d be a Jedi or a Sith. Well…I don’t think I’d be either. I’d be part of the Rebel Alliance, sticking it to the man, so to speak. Obviously I don’t want to be evil, but the Jedi are far too strict and bureaucratic for my liking. And who needs force powers to be awesome, anyways?

5. Balance School

Wizard 101 was one of the MMOs I played in my youth, along with the Disney classics like Toontown, Pirates Online, and Pixie Hollow. When I made my very first wizard and was asked to take a personality test in order to be placed, I was really hoping to get something cool, like the death school. Imagine my disappointment when I was sorted into balance, the lamest sounding one. But while I was offered a chance to retake the quiz, I went with it. And I’m actually very proud to call myself a balance wizard now. There aren’t very many of us (cause everyone has the same first reaction to balance as I did), and as they tell us during our training, we’re kind of the glue that draws from every other element and holds society together. So that’s pretty cool. And also our teacher is a talking dog. So, yeah.

6. House Targaryen

Game of Thrones - House Targaryen Sigil Stencil

To be honest, I’ve been sorted into literally every single house in Westeros. Multiple times. Not even kidding. So really, nobody knows what the heck I am. But the house that I’ve been placed in the most frequently is the House Targaryen, so I’m going with that. And the Targaryens are pretty friggen cool. I mean, dragons? Awesome. Plus, we tend to be prone to madness. I’m definitely a mad person. All the best people are.

7. Team Instinct

I sort of feel like I’m betraying my water type brethren by choosing Instinct, but that little cutie pie Spark just called to me. I didn’t like the leaders for either of the other teams, and Instinct had (still has, I think) no gyms in my entire city. So I had to choose it. And anyways, I played Pokemon Go for a total of two days before I got bored with it and stopped, so it doesn’t really matter. I prefer actual Pokemon, thank you very much. I’m still going to associate myself with this team though, as they need all the love they can get. (Like Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff.)

Sunshine Blogger Award

Hello everybody! Thanks so much to fluffymao of The Mayfields and cynanyx of Delirium and Daisies for nominating me for The Sunshine Blogger Award! Sorry to get to this so late, I’ve actually been out of town all week so I’ve just now had free time.

Little Miss Sunshine

Similar to the Liebster Award, this was made by bloggers for bloggers as a way to sort of share the love around the blogging community. It’s a great way to give some recognition to some of your favorite blogs, and also to find new reading material along the way!

The Rules:

  1. Thank the person who nominated you and add a link to their blog.
  2. Answer the 11 questions sent by the person who nominated you.
  3. Nominate 11 bloggers and add their links.
  4. Notify the bloggers you included.
  5. Keep the rules in your post.

Questions from Fluffymao

1. Of your sims, who’s your favorite?

My favorite Sim of all time is still Freddy Lawrence, the first heir to my first legacy. I do miss him so. I’m also rather fond of all of my Kanto heirs, but my favorite Kanto still has to be Steelix. I’ve stuck him in more save files than any other family member, and he was also the first Sim I ever created in TS4. He was a real hoot to have around!

2. What’s the greatest in-game moment you’ve ever witnessed?

That’s kind of a hard question…other people’s games seem to have all these wacky, insane shenanigans happening all the time, my game seems so tame in comparison.

I suppose one of the most interesting things that has happened (though not necessarily great) was the very first time I played in the Capp household in TS2 as a kid. I don’t think this happens every time you start the game, as I’ve played the household for the first time on different computers and it hasn’t happened, but correct me if I’m wrong. Juliet and Romeo were flirting and being gross, and Consort Capp started a fire that of course everyone flocked to. Nobody was able to put it out and both Juliet and Hermia ended up dying. And no matter how many times I reloaded, the same thing happened and Juliet and Hermia would always die. And it was the first household I ever played in TS2, so that’s fun. For the longest time, I was so afraid to open that house again for fear of killing half the family, and Veronaville quickly became my least favorite town to play in.

3. What’s your favorite game (aside from the Sims)?  If not game, substitute show/book/movie/etc.

There’s so many…as you can probably tell, I LOVE Pokemon. Other favorites include Nancy Drew PC games, Phoenix Wright, Animal Crossing, Kingdom Hearts, Legend of Zelda, Professor Layton, various indie games, and several others.

4. What is a trait you wish you had/didn’t have?

I’m a very accommodating person, being the type that never wants to cause conflict. But sometimes I wish that I was more assertive, since I have such a hard time saying “no” to people.

5. You found a black suitcase sitting on your front porch.  It’s got $1 million in it.  What do you do?

I’d probably put away some of the money to travel the world with, and then donate the rest to various charities.

6. What’s your favorite holiday?  Why?

Ever since I was a little kid, I’ve adored Christmas. It’s such a special time of the year, and the holiday spirit is infectious. No matter what terrible things are happening in people’s lives, most can put aside their differences and enjoy the season with their family and friends. As early as Halloween when the radio starts playing holiday classics, I’m in Christmas mode. I’m sure some of you know how “fucking-bat-shit-crazy-about-Christmas” the Nostalgia Critic gets. I’m pretty much like that XD

7. What’s your favorite color?  Any particular reason?

I’ve always loved purple. I don’t think I ever had a specific reason for it. It’s just always appealed to me.

8. Any grand plans for the future?

Oh yes. Once I get my Ph.D. in psychology, I hope to study behaviors, specifically reasons people have for making the choices they do. I hope to use this knowledge to help these people, and others in similar situations, make better decisions for themselves and improve their lifestyles. Make the world a better place and all that jazz. I know that sounds super cheesy, but I’m heavily influenced by a branch in our field called positive psychology, which emphasizes the goodness and potential in humanity. That-along with my INFJ need to make a difference in the world-have really decided my fate ^.^

9. Cheddar, mozzarella, or muenster?  Naming gouda as the top cheese is also acceptable.  😛

I’m really a provolone woman myself, but I do love mozzarella as well!

10. You have 24 hours to do whatever you please with no repercussions or anyone remembering anything but you.  What happens?

More difficult questions…24 hours really isn’t enough time! I guess I’d escape to some foreign land and explore to my heart’s content, then return to my mundane education with my family none the wiser.

Questions from Cynanyx:

1. If you could live in the universe your stories take place in/ that your sims live in, would you?

I don’t think I’d want to live in any of the towns that my legacies have taken place in. I might want to live in Dragon Valley or Midnight Hollow, but my stories haven’t taken place there so they don’t count.

2. What’s your dream job (one that actually exists in the real world)?

My dream job would be landing some sort of research position that allows me to travel across the world and study people of all different cultures and backgrounds.

3. What’s your favorite song, or your favorite band/singer?

I don’t think I could name one favorite song, and it’s hard to pick just one band. My all time favorite is Owl City. Other favorites include: The Cab, All Time Low, All American Rejects, Lifehouse, Black Veil Brides, My Chemical Romance, Marianas Trench, Mayday Parade, Go Radio, McFly, Bowling for Soup, Broken Iris, Coldplay, LM.C, A Rocket to the Moon, Fall Out Boy, The Ready Set, Nevershoutnever, The Maine, Hollywood Undead, Cute Is What We Aim For, Skillet, Falling in Reverse, Maroon Five, Panic at the Disco, Snow Patrol, and Dashboard Confessional.

I know, that’s a lot. But music is kind of my life and it’s hard to limit my favorites to just a couple.

4. What’s your writing process?  Do you do anything unusual or funny while writing or to come up with ideas?

I don’t think so. I definitely don’t have much of a process for my Sims blogs. They just sort of happen, mostly. As far as my actual writing goes, I’ve always been the type that’s struggled with brainstorming activities and outlines and other pre-writing activities that your English teacher tried to make you do in middle school. I always just sort of take off with an idea and see where it leads me, and it’s always worked out great. Despite what you may see here, I’ve always been a very talented writer. I just suck at Sims photography so much that it hinders my abilities to actually write any coherent story XD

5. Any funny or weird facts about yourself or someone you know?  If you can’t think of anything, put a quote or a picture of a cute animal here.

Weird facts? Okay, well….

You know how most little girls have huge celebrity crushes, usually on famous boys from their generation? Like, girls my age were obsessed with Justin Timberlake, that kid from Home Improvement, Drake Bell (although who wasn’t obsessed with Drake Bell?) and other various heartthrobs from the 90s and early 2000s. But I always liked Elvis Presley. I got made fun of for it later in school, because he “died on a toilet” and all that, but I didn’t care. He had a great singing voice, he was classy and more handsome than the boys other girls were obsessing over, and being a man of the 50s he was certainly far more charming. I went to Graceland when I was 8 or 9 years old, I decorated my bedroom with Elvis posters and framed records, I had CDs with practically all his songs. It was sort of ridiculous, now that I think about it. So that’s my weird fact!

6.  If you could live anywhere for the rest of your life, whether it’s real or not, where would you go?

In real life, I think I would want to live either in Dublin or London. Probably Dublin though. Ireland is simply gorgeous and I can almost guarantee that one day when I visit, I’ll never want to leave.

As far as places I’d like to live that aren’t real, I’d want to live in the Kanto region of the Pokemon world. Or in Hyrule. That would be fun too 😀

7. Favorite quote?  If you don’t have one or can’t think of anything, put whatever you want in this space.

“If you can dream it, you can do it.”

-Walt Disney

8. Is there a movie or book character you’d like to become (it’d be permanent)?  If so, who?

I don’t think I’d necessarily want to become any characters, especially if it’s permanent. There are certainly characters who I’d like to meet and interact with, but I’d want to stay myself.

9. Do you have any pet peeves?  Is there something in particular that annoys you?

One thing that really annoys me is small talk. I know that might sound weird, but us INFJs like to have really deep conversations and truly get to know a person. If there’s really nothing meaningful to say, we prefer a nice silence. When people try to initiate small talk with us, we get annoyed.

10. How did you get into writing your blog, or writing in general?

I’ve been writing in general pretty much since I was a toddler. At as early as two years old, I was already obsessed with books and I knew writing was what I wanted to do with my life. Of course, by high school I got irritated with the condescending looks I’d get when I tell people I want to be an author, so I picked an “actual” career to pursue.

As far as my blog, one day I somehow stumbled across The Kyoti Legacy by Rad, and I sort of fell in love with the concept of challenges. I wanted to do one of my own. People in real life weren’t at all interested in my Sims exploits, so if I wanted to tell other people, I’d have to start a blog. It was a struggle for me, since my social anxiety is way worse through the internet than in real life since I have no way of gauging people’s reactions based on body language, and to this day I remain a lurker on other people’s blogs and refrain from commenting or involving myself too much. But at least I managed to actually post something, so yay for that!

11. If you could be the best in the world at one thing (such as playing a specific instrument, playing a specific sport, or painting), what would you pick?

I don’t know…maybe I’d like to be the best in the world at making people feel comfortable? It’s a very desirable skill in any branch of psychology, even research. I’m already fairly easy to be around, but to be the best in the world at soothing people and making them feel welcome would be a really great feat, I think.

My Champions:

Here are my nominations! (I’m not good with the whole synopsis thing, so bear with me!)

Paint the Town by Jenn-This is a 100 baby challenge with a colorful twist! It’s just getting started, so I’d highly recommend getting in on the fun!

Surrounded by Color by Randi-Another challenge that’s just getting started, this is a rainbow ISBI. As you can probably tell, I’m quite fond of rainbows ^.^

McColor ISBI by cynanyx- More colors? Imagine that! This one shares a site with A Royal Prettacy, and both are really fun reads!

Berries of Insanity by Chazybazzy-An ISBI with a fun (and gorgeous!) cast of characters!

Rourke Epic Legacy by somebodysangel13-A challenge following the boolprop epic legacy rules. With lots of fun characters and legacy Sims as spouses, this is a great read!

Through the Plumbob by zefiewings-The theme for this legacy is culture! Each generation represents a different culture around the world. With Italian and French represented so far, this is a unique and fun challenge that I highly recommend catching up on!

Insanity Family by MichelleLynn01-The Kook family stars in this backwards ISBI, and are so crazy and fun, you’ll instantly fall in love!

The Cult of Personality by inujade-Although this one hasn’t been updated in quite some time, I still thought it deserves a nomination. The Personality heirs are chosen based solely on their personality as opposed to looks, making them a bizarre and wonderful bunch of Sims.

It’s Raining Idiots by Madcapp-Another legacy that hasn’t been updated in a long time, but also one that’s influenced me a lot in my Simming, It’s Raining Idiots is a hilarious ISBI! Madcapp also has a genetic experiment that didn’t get very far, but I’d highly recommend. Both these stories are great reads!

Rated R for Language by Andie-Recently resurrected in TS4 with Xander Jenkins, this is both an uglacy and a backwards alphabetacy which is extremely hilarious!

The Gordon Legacy by DSLady-This is a very fun legacy with some crazy (not to mention gorgeous) Sims!

Interrogation Section:

Here are my questions for my poor nominees. I’ve always been really bad at coming up with questions, so sorry about that!

  1. Who or what inspired you to start writing a Sims blog?
  2. Do you have a favorite townie in any of the games? If so, why are they your favorite?
  3. What’s your favorite song (or songs) at the moment?
  4. What’s your favorite Disney movie?
  5. What is/was your favorite subject in school? Why?
  6. If you could live inside of the world of any fandom, which would you choose?
  7. If you could be any life state from TS3, which would you want to be?
  8. Which Olympic sport do you enjoy watching the most?
  9. Are you more of a cat person or a dog person?
  10. Why is a raven like a writing desk?

Thanks again for the nomination, fluffymao and cynanyx! It’s been a blast trying to answer all your questions and coming up with some of my own! I hope you all have a fantastic day. Good luck to everyone in cheering on your country for the Olympics, and as always, happy Simming!

5.13: I Ain’t Saying She’s A Gold Digger

Time for a new chapter! This might be the last one for a little while since I’m going to be sniffing around my game hunting for the source of that glitch. In the last chapter, Missingno was crowned heir and spent the chapter attempting to woo his future wife. Ditto, meanwhile, spent the day with Chandra’s crazy sister and was very unhappy. Will Em finally win Chandra’s affections? Let’s find out!

Ever the skill builder, Ditto deals with his frustrations from last chapter by exercising.

Ari usually just stands around looking cute.

Arbok: ~smirks~ That’s because I am cute.

Em takes his turn caring for the baby.

Missingno: Em is practicing for when he has kids.

This is all these two do all day since Leds finished her LTW. I guess they’re making up for lost time. You guys are immortal, you know. You don’t exactly have to worry about that.

Ledyba and Phillip: ~suck face~

Yeah yeah, you just be gross then.

Birthday time for Starmie!

Although Autonomous!Tari decides to interrupt by breaking our stereo.

Altaria: We’re not buying a new one. Too expensive.

Right, it’s not like we have all kinds of money sitting around to replace a $150 stereo…

She’s soooo cute!

Starmie: I am?

Little Star has Ledyba’s huge eyes, Phillip’s nose, and she’s the first of the kids to have his lip shape as well. She also has the Van Gould blonde hair! How come the most diverse looking one is born last?!

C’mon you guys, do something useful.

Much better.

Ledyba: C’mon you little brat, could you please just talk? Mummy wants to go back to sexy fun times with daddy.

I don’t think she’s buying it, Leds.

Starmie: Can you believe this lady?

Seriously Leds, you might as well make the most of your mother-daughter bonding. Phil’s got his own stuff to do.

What? New maid? NOOOO! I liked the creeper…

Maid: Perhaps a fresh bouquet of flowers will changed your mind.

Besides the nose, he’s a bit bland looking.

At least he does his job. For now.

Essey got an opportunity to bring a fish in for extra credit and Ari is always rolling fishing-related wants, so they got to leave the house for a while.

Arbok: Happy place 😀

Espeon: This doesn’t look too hard.

Espeon: I think I’m getting hooked on this activity!

Espeon: On second thought, this seems a little fishy…

Em invites Chandra over so we can woo her. He and Ditto age up tomorrow so we have to work fast.

Missingno: Hey there friend. Get your butt over here.

Missingno: Okay, Em. You can do this. Focus.

I really like this painting.

Phillip: Thanks, I put my heart into it.

Here’s our girl! Her outfit today is much more acceptable than last time. Good job.

Also, Hilary was there. Hilary is always there…

Missingno: Hello, my love.

Chandra: About time you showed up. I don’t know how much longer I could take this plague known as the outdoors.

Trait learned!

Missingno: Em’s heart yearns for you-

Chandra: We’ve been over this, ghost boy. No cheesy lines.

Really? We’re starting this again?

Ditto was sent to occupy Hilary, not that she minded.

Ditto: So that’s how Orion’s Belt was discovered.

Hilary: Fascinating. He’s so hot…

Chandra: Can I have that one instead?

Espeon: Hahaha, brother just got rejected. Serves him right for stealing my heirship.

Arbok: I’m just glad to be getting so much screentime this chapter 🙂

In stark contrast to his brother Ditto, this kid looks perpetually happy. All the time. It’s a little weird…

She refuses to flirt with Em, but she’s all for physical contact.

Missingno: Score!

Trait learned maybe?

Missingno: What do you say we take this inside? You can stay the night if you wanna.

Chandra: I’d love to…

Altaria: Don’t mind me, I’m just caring for your baby.

If by caring for, you mean picking up and refusing to put down then yes. You are certainly caring for that child.

Starmie: Halp?

Going in for the kiss.

Missingno: Please don’t reject Em…

Phillip: Doesn’t it remind you of our youth, dear?

Ledyba: Then why don’t we have our own party in the shower there?

Phillip: Sounds good to me.

Ditto: Way to rub your love in my face, twin…

Starmie: Where are we going, big brother?

Ditto: Wherever…

Missingno: We haven’t known each other very long, but Em likes you a lot, Chandra.

Chandra: It’s strange, but I’m growing rather fond of you as well. Must be your ghostly charm.

Altaria: I sense an aura of death…

Kyo-Kun Died

Her twin died right when that thought bubble popped up. Poor dear, she’s the only one of Cerulean gen left now. Azurill should still be alike too, but she seems to have disappeared along with Rachelle. They must have been homeless at some point, because I have overwatch set to purge the homeless to reduce lag.

Ditto: Don’t mind me. Just doing my homework. Right in your makeout shot.

Missingno: Be Em’s girlfriend?

Chandra: Oh, I suppose so…

Great. Just in time for birthdays! I’m aging them up early in the morning so they don’t have to go to school.

Ditto: You ready for this, bro?

Missingno: So ready, brother.

Ditto: Then let’s do this.

Espeon: They’re growing? I never thought I’d see this day…

Chandra: This broken dishwasher is kind of distracting, but you go honey!

Ledyba: Who the heck is this chick?

That would be your son’s girlfriend.

Ledyba: Whatever. I don’t care.

Twins: Here goes nothing…

First up is Ditto! He rolled neurotic as his final trait.

Ditto: Oh the horrors I’ve seen…

Ditto is a slobby, athletic, genius who cooks really well and who freaks out over the slightest things. He likes geek rock, tri-tip steak, and the color blue, and he is a Sagittarius. His LTW is to turn the town. Should be fun!

Ditto: You mean I don’t get to leave the house right away? You’re keeping me here?

For a while, yeah. I want to at least find you a spouse in the new hood.

Ditto: Curses…

And here’s our heir with his lovely (totally not cluttered) intro card!

As you can see, Em rolled genius as his final trait, leaving him as an evil, athletic genius who hates meat and loves all things extreme. Of all the repeat traits we could’ve gotten, I’m glad he got a useful one.

He likes kids music, autumn salad, and hot pink, and he’s a cancer. He wants to become the emperor of evil. And he’s officially taken over the legacy! Congrats, Missingno!

Missingno: Thanks, Em guesses.

Altaria: Out of my way, twerp. Mourning pity-party coming through.

Chandra gets caked too. And only Em cared.

Missingno: Em is here for you, baby.

Tada! Our spouse!

Missingno: Hur dur, she’s hot.

Chandra: Hell yeah I am.

Missingno: I see Em’s fairy queen is still gorgeous as ever as an adult.

Chandra: I could say the same for you, ghost boy.

Missingno: While you’re still here, Em has a question for you.

Chandra: Do you, now?

Chandra: What’cha doing there, hun?

Chandra: Oh my gosh, is that…?

Missingno: Em knows how much you hate corny lines, so let’s make this quick. Marry me?

Chandra: I’d love to.

Missingno: Awesome.

Like all good Kantos before them, they share a romantic bathroom wedding. Hopefully this will change with the next generation.

Altaria: Wedding shmedding. Doesn’t anybody care about my SORROW?!

Espeon: To be honest, not really.

Introducing: Chandra Kanto. She’s a clumsy, ambitious mooch with a hot head an a hatred for the outdoors. She likes indie music, cheesesteak, and the color sea foam. She’s a taurus. And her LTW? Gold digger. Yes, you read that right. She wants to see the ghost of her dead husband. And somehow, this didn’t fulfill right when she married in.

Proof of Richness

As you can see, the game does consider us rich. So either we’re not rich enough yet, or it doesn’t work with playable ghosts. This means that we might have to send Em back to the underworld at some point, or change her LTW. We’ll decide later.

Phillip: Did you hear, darling? Our son is married.

Ledyba: I did hear. You thinking what I’m thinking?

Immediately After Chandra Moves In

They both rolled this wish as soon as Chandra moved in.

The newlyweds consummate their marriage.

No babies yet though, much to Philyba’s dismay. Em’s immortal and Chandra has a super long lifespan. They’ve got all the time in the world…

That’s all I have for you today, guys! Thanks so much for reading, and stay tuned for more updates, whenever they may come! As always, happy Simming!
