Hello friends! I am soooo late to this party, but let’s get to it shall we?
First off, I have two sets of questions to answer from the lovely DSLady. I’m not ignoring you, I promise! It just took me a while to get around to it!
Sunshine Blogger Award Questions:
1. How tall are you?
I’m 5’2”. Yeah, I’m a shorty
2. Are you a morning person?
Definitely! My biological clock won’t let me sleep past six most days, but I’m usually wide awake by then anyways ^.^
3. If you could dye your hair any colour, which would you go? If none, why not?
I used to want to dye my hair crazy colors when I was in my goth/scene phase in middle school. Purple, teal, bright red, even just black. But I’m sorta glad I never did. My hair’s thin anyways, no need to make it worse.
4. Sunrise or Sunset?
I like both! And I live smack-dab in the center of the US so we get really pretty ones. I guess I’d say sunrise, since I’m a morning person, but I’m usually awake to see both.
5. Are you in the Minion hateclub or fanclub?
I guess I’m in the neutral club? I loved Despicable Me when I first saw it, but I always thought the minions were meh. I think it’s rather annoying that they’ve become the breakaway stars and are on everything, but I wouldn’t say I hate them.
6. What’s your Hogwarts house and why?
Ravenclaw! The house of wisdom, creativity, individuality, and acceptance, I’ve known I was a Ravenclaw ever since we were introduced to Luna Lovegood. I’ve been sorted into Slytherin before too and as much as I love the ol’ green and grey, my heart will always belong wrapped in blue.
7. Are you good at public speaking?
Apparently? At least, everyone tells me I am. It gives me anxieties and I pretty much block out the whole experience whenever I have to do it, but people always tell me afterwards that I was really good and I should consider a career in news reporting.
8. Tell us about your favourite book.
But I have so many!!! One of my all-time favorites has always been The Last Days of Summer by Steve Kluger. It’s about a twelve-year-old boy growing up in 1940’s Brooklyn, Joey Margolis, who obsesses over rookie baseball player Charlie Banks. After annoying the athlete with letters begging for a home run hit in his honor (because the bullies at school just so happen to think they’re best friends), the two start to develop a strong, almost brotherly relationship. The story is told entirely through letters, newspaper articles, and other various documents. It’s a real treat if it sounds up your alley.
9. Favourite pizza topping?
I’ve always been a just cheese type of person. The more cheese, the merrier. And stuffed crust is always a plus.
10. Is your life anything like it was two years ago?
I mean, I’m in uni instead of high school and I have one less cat now. Other than that, it’s pretty much the same.
11. What is your favourite season?
Autumn! I love fall colors, I love the cool-but-not-too-cold weather, I love the general calmness of everything, I love Thanksgiving food. And my birthday month falls during this time, meaning we’re at Disney a lot of years, so that probably helps a little…
Liebster Award Questions:
1. How often do you listen to music?
Almost constantly. I can’t listen to music when I’m studying or I get distracted by the lyrics or the melody, but otherwise I’m usually listening to something.
2. What kind of music you like? Share a song if you want!
Pretty much anything that falls within the rock persuasion. Classic, pop, indie, alternative, punk, grunge, metal, screamo. Depends on what mood I’m in. My favorite is definitely indie though.
3. Do you have/want tattoos? Describe them!
I like tats on other people. I actually find them pretty hot on guys XD But I don’t think there’s anything that I would ever want permanently etched into my skin. I’d probably hate it after a year.
4. Have you read/watched LOTR? Do you like it or think it’s too long and boring?
Does anyone think it’s boring? I guess some people would. Even my mom likes the movies though, and she usually hates typical nerdy stuff. It’s one of those series’ that I think I like the movies just as much as the books, but that’s likely because the movies came out when I was a kid so I grew up with them, and I didn’t start reading the books until middle school.
5. Thoughts on children?
They’re okay I guess…? I definitely don’t want any though. I must have missed out on that whole maternal instinct thing during puberty, because whenever I see kids I just think “disgusting” and “germy” and “bratty” and other generally unpleasant thoughts.
6. Do you like where you’re from?
I do! I love my country, I love my state, and I especially love my city! We’re one of those towns that’s kinda big comparatively to others in the area, but we’re not NYC or LA or anything like that. We’d probably be a bigger state’s small town. And we have a lot of pride in our little burg! But I don’t think I’m going to live here forever. I honestly like big city life, and there’s not really any career options for me here.
7. Favourite expansion pack?
I’d probably say Supernatural. I love Moonlight Falls and its townies, I love the different lifestates, and I love all the gothic design options for clothes and furniture, even if I don’t use them much.
8. What’s your favourite series? (books, tv show, or movies?)
It’s so hard to choose! But lately I’ve been super into the Batfam. Any books I can get my hands on that deal with any of my Bats and Birds, I’ll read (especially if it’s about Jaybird!). I’ve also been super into TOS. I’ve always been kind of a Trekkie (Trekker is a stupid, pretentious term made up by fans who don’t want to admit they’re mega nerds fight me) but lately I’ve been super, hard core into it. I can only blame Beyond for triggering my interest again.
9. What’s your favourite game? (Other than sims!)
Again with the difficult questions…the obvious choice here would be Pokemon considering my legacy. But I’m gonna go with the Nancy Drew PC series. I played my first game, FIN, with my grandpa when I was five and we’ve been playing and replaying the whole series together ever since. So sad that HER is dead at this point and MID is likely never coming out.
10. What’s your favourite thing to do on lazy days where you have 0 obligations?
Read, play video games, or binge watch TV shows/anime. So original, I know.
11. What is your current desktop picture?
And now for the Memory Lane Challenge, created by gryffindork!
Memory Lane Challenge
I was nominated for this challenge by gryffindork and heatherfeather19. Thanks guys!
Congratulations! You’ve been nominated for a totally legit award. Get a gold star and stick it on your forehead like a boss.
2. Share FIVE of your favourite moments from your legacy/challenge/story so far.
3. Nominate 3-5 to do the same.
1. Betty Simovitch: Most Likely to be Late to Own Wedding
Not only was this the wedding of my founders, but Betty was late for it! She and her parents showed up together, but then she left for graduation. She came back so late that Absol got the “left at the alter” moodlet.
2. The Demon Twins
Not only were these twins unexpected and we really weren’t financially prepared for them, they also had the creepy/evil twin thing down pat. They were always together, and always seemed to be plotting the demise of their siblings (even though Steelix was secretly a cinnamon roll and had great relationships with everyone). Pewter gen in general is still honestly my favorite group of kids, with Vermilion a close second.
3. Bored (Ranting) to Death
Not exactly a good favorite, but the death of my Cerulean co-heir was pretty memorable. He was the first accidental death in the legacy, and it honestly looked like he killed himself to get away from the trauma of his wife and father flirting. Sometimes I wonder how the legacy would’ve gone if I’d taken the damn megaphone away from him after the first time.
4. Chess or Die
Killing people with our chess table of doom. Not much else to say…
5. Dragon Age
Goodra, my first dragon. After a few Sim days of my egg not hatching, I was really happy that we finally got ourselves a new pet!
Man, this challenge has made me realize how significantly less crazy this legacy is compared to everyone else’s, and even compared to others that I’ve done. C’mon Kantos, throw me a bone sometime in the next few generations!
A lot of people that I follow have already been nominated since I’m getting to it so late, so I’ll make this easy on myself. If you’re reading this and you haven’t done this challenge yet, I nominate you! Tag, you’re it! Get to it faster than I did! Chop chop! Thanks for reading and as always, happy Simming!
